Thursday Buddhist Study Class
The London branch of Dhammakaya Buddhism based in Woking is once again opening its temple doors to those that seek Beginners’ Meditation practice from Tuesday 8th June 7-8.30pm. Thereafter those that are more inquisitive about Buddhism can attend the Thursday class commencing Thursday 10th June 7-9pm. The temple has carried out a risk assessment and there will be temperature checks, NHS App check-ins and socially distanced seating for a maximum number of meditators.
The effects of multiple lockdowns have impacted many people’s mental health and wellbeing and meditation may provide a path to remain positive and gain a new perspective for personal growth. For those with little to no prior knowledge of Buddhism, attendees should be assured that these sessions are aimed at beginners and provide an approachable starting point to learn how to meditate and how this can make dealing with stress in daily life easier.
