Dancers registered to at least two workshops can participate in the show, in a group framework of CHOREOGRAPHIC IMPROVISATION, directed by Francesca Pedretti and Isabel De Lorenzo, and based on ingredients learned in the different workshops.
If you haven't booked yet, please check info and workshops registration at
https://www.sanlo.it/la-divina-commedia-projectThe Virtual Show will be a dance interpretation based on the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri (14th century).
Soloists (teachers/ guest artists) and group performances (students) will alternate in the Show.
The final editing will bring the Divine Comedy in a chronological sense, following the Poet's travel through Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso.The entire performance project is inspired by William Blake's artistic views of the Poem. We warmly suggest you to be familiar with the book: "William Blake. Dante's Divine Comedy. The Complete Drawings".

All levels are welcome. Each workshop will give you a "key movement" or "ingredient" to be used in the performance creation. The more workshops you take, the more elements you will have to work with. The three group frameworks (Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso) will be directed by Francesca Pedretti and Isabel De Lorenzo. You will receive the music and other instructions to make your own video during the Q&A's via Zoom that Francesca and Isabel will be offering in October (see below).
- GUEST/PROFESSIONAL DANCERS are also welcome to perform in the show, after registration to two workshops at least. Two options in this case:
1) Sending a solo video of 1.5 minutes (topic defined by the organization);
2) Participating in the group framework.
