Hey there,

Thank you for your interest in joining our superhero squadron of Outreach Volunteers! The next volunteering term will be from 30 March to 20 June and we will accept applications for the next group of volunteers until 20th of March.

Global Changemakers exists to support young people to create positive change in their communities and we need your help to reach them. Due to the huge need for support for young changemakers, we decided to enlist the help of some everyday heroes (Outreach Volunteers) who, through simple and easy tasks, can help us reach more young people around the word with our skills development and capacity building opportunities and content.

Please note: this is a virtual position, meaning that you will work online. There is no travel associated with this role.

Understanding of the Role

Whether you know them or not, there are young people around you who want to make a difference, but who do not know how. Or there are young people who are doing their best to make a difference, but don’t get support, mentorship, the opportunity to develop their skills or to access grant funding because of their age.

The aim of this programme is to reach as many of those young people as possible with the resources that we provide as Global Changemakers in order to support them to create positive change in their communities. The outreach volunteers are our representatives in your communities, whether that be within local youth or university groups or in your online network through social media. Your role is to help us reach them through a mixture of sharing our content and reaching out to people directly.

This programme is not like what your traditional understanding of volunteering or being an intern may be in that almost all of the tasks are optional, with the opportunity to commit to roles with more responsibility if you would like to. You will be required to work independently for many tasks and will be responsible for managing yourself, it is self-paced and self-managed with support from the rest of the ORVs and our team.
