Visualizing Hong Kong through the Corporeal Youth看見香港:青春的肉身

How do young filmmakers document and reflect on social political changes in Hong Kong? Emerging woman filmmaker Chan Hau Chun and her filmmaker peers will present short films in responding to the (afterlife of) 2019 Hong Kong protests, and discuss how the collective of Hong Kong independent filmmaker evolves narratives and moving motions to address young generation’s anxiety and searching. 

 

On March 8, 2023, the Centre’s Post-Doctoral Fellow Jinyan Zeng will host film screenings and discussions with curator Chan Hau Chun and fellow filmmakers. About Chan Hau Chun’s visual work, see: https://www.chanhauchun.com
