2024 Spring Running Club
Calling all 4th and 5th grade students that enjoy running and would like to prepare for a race. You should join the Brassfield running club!   During our weekly runs, we will work on building endurance and speed while fostering a love of running.  The club will begin on Thursdays from 3:50-4:45 April 25- June 13.  Runners are welcomed to attend running club over their track out if someone is available to drop them off at the track, sign in with a coach, and pick them up at the carpool loop after practice as usual. The runners must be picked up promptly at 4:45 in the carpool parking loop.  Your child CAN NOT be a bus rider on Thursdays to participate in running club. We expect that all students participating in our running club will exhibit BEARS behavior. Runners will receive one warning for poor behavior choices. After the one warning, runners who are continuing to make poor behavior choices will be asked to leave the club.  The expectation for running club is to RUN :) If you have questions, feel free to contact Dustin Flahive (dflahive@wcpss.net).  Happy Running! I hereby give my consent for the above named student to participate in Brassfield Running Club for the Spring 2024 season. I understand that participating in an athletic activity is an extremely valuable experience for my student, but also comes with inherent risk. We, at BRES make every attempt to ensure the safety of our students, but can not be held liable for accidents or injuries sustained while participating in Running Club. I hereby release Brassfield Road Elementary School, and its administrators and employees from any and all liability from personal injuries, or other claims arising from or in connection with my student’s participation in extra-curricular activities. Should an accident occur parent contact will be made immediately. I authorize the Club Sponsors, School Principal, or School Staff to secure medical attention as may be necessary for my child as a result of an injury or other events requiring emergency care while I/we are not in attendance at such event. I hereby release said school official(s) from any and all liability on account of such selection or authorization for any and all damages which occur on account thereof.  Signature:
