Aloha! Under the direction of Philip Johnson, Professor of Information and Computer Sciences, I am conducting a research project investigating how a system called InternAloha, which is part of the RadGrad Project, can enhance the student learning experience. You are invited to participate in the study.
What am I being asked to do? If you participate in this project, you will discuss your experiences and goals for obtaining an internship, and then evaluate how well the InternAloha system might meet your needs.
Taking part in this study is your choice. Your participation in this project is completely voluntary. You may stop participating at any time. If you stop being in the study, there will be no penalty or loss to you.
Why is this study being done? The purpose of the project is to evaluate the potential effectiveness of the InternAloha system.
What will happen if I decide to take part in this study? I will guide a discussion of internships and the InternAloha system. It will take about 10 to 15 minutes.
What are the risks and benefits of taking part in this study? We believe there is little risk to you in participating in this research project. If you become stressed or uncomfortable, you can skip the question or take a break. You can also stop participating at any time.
There will be no direct benefit to you for participating in this interview. The results of this project may help improve the RadGrad system and the learning experience of Computer Science students.
