/nasfaqg/ Christmas mahjong tournament

Dates: Dec 28 (Round Robin), Dec 29 (Any rescheduled games/ games that couldn’t be finished), Dec 30 Finals + FFA matches

Start Time: Dec 28 14:10 (UTC), Dec 29 TBD, Dec 30 14:10 (UTC)

Match Format:  4 Player South, Open Tanyao ON, 5+20 Seconds, 3 Red Fives

Rules: Collusion between players is forbidden. Any participants found guilty will be disqualified. (More to come)

Method of Communication: All updates from now until the start date will be posted on the /nasfaqg/ thread. During the tournament, communication will be done primarily through the tournament lobby chat and if needed the aggie, last resort will be done through the /nasfaqg/ thread. Scores will be tracked through a public google sheets, access will be granted on tournament day

Format:  There will be sign up for two separate groups, one for experienced players and one for new players. Each player will play round robin matches and then be placed in another bracket for finals matches, depending on your round robin score. Additionally, I am planning to have some free for all, winner takes all single hanchan matches at the end (1m per match). The format and number of matches will be locked in once sign ups are closed on Dec 26 23:59 (UTC).


If you haven’t already added me on MJS please do so after you sign up (ID: 112647918). On the 28th you will join the tournament lobby with ID 707664, preTotal Prize Pool: 40M+ (depending on players), will be split among the different brackets and matches
ferably 5-10 minutes ahead of time. Please save any info you need, I will post again prior to the tournament starting
