Scholarship applications are now closed.
This scholarship will cover the cost of student registration to attend the 2021 SouthEastern Division of the American Association of Geographers (
www.SEDAAG.org) annual meeting in Florence, AL (Nov. 21-22, 2021). Eighteen awards will be made to support undergraduate or graduate student attendance and participation at the annual meeting. Scholarship recipients are expected to either attend the IDEA committee's panel presentation during the conference, or provide a short reflection on their experience at the meeting. AAG COVID Reg. Div. Stabilization & Meeting Relief funds awarded to SEDAAG made these registration scholarships possible.
Who should apply: undergraduate and graduate students at academic institutions in the Southeastern United States. Scholarship recipients are not required to present a poster or a paper at the annual conference, though it is encouraged.
Who we are: the SEDAAG IDEAL Geographer (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Learning) committee was formed in mid-2021 to fulfill the society's commitment to more proactively support diversity, equity, and inclusion inside and outside the Academy.
