Our Board Members represent and advocate for the Foundation and believe in our mission to enrich communities using the bicycle as a catalyst for healing, empowerment, and evolution. Be Good Board Members are responsible for ensuring we're executing that mission alongside our Executive Director and Founder and help keep us accountable to our vision and ensure we are operating effectively and efficiently to serve our community.
We’re seeking new Board Members whose experience, expertise, perspective and passion will help us advance our mission. While no one person will possess all the following strengths, abilities, and experiences, we are seeking new Board Members with some combination of the following traits:
- Recognized community leader
- Strategic planning
- Nonprofit board experience
- Communications/marketing
- Project management
- Public relations
- Connections in the cycling community
- Cultivating inclusive, diverse, and equitable community
- Public lands, conservation and/or bike advocacy
- Social medial use and/or other technology expertise
- Risk management
- Photography, videography, art, design or web development
- Organizational management
- Human resources
- Meeting/event planning
- physical/mental coaching
- Fundraising/development
- Federal/state/local government interactions
- Insurance
- Accounting/finance
- Advocacy/public policy
- Connectivity within key groups such as: network of donor/fundraiser prospects, leadership in other orgs, industry partners, bicycle industry, adventure sports, corporate and elected officials

The Board of Directors meets quarterly, with three video meetings and one in-person meeting over Labor Day weekend at Rebecca's Private Idaho in Sun Valley, Idaho. Committees meet as needed. We ask that Board Members commit three to four hours per month for at least two years.We're looking for individuals who are committed to engaging regularly with all things Be Good, willing to lead projects and/or committees within the board.
We will begin reviewing applications on February 15th, 2023, and will follow up with applicants no later than the last week of February 2023.
