CSHS Application Spring 2021
Current Blue Valley Southwest students grades 9-12 with a 3.0 or higher GPA (weighted or unweighted) and have completed one rigorous computer science course. Students in grade 9 are eligible at semester to apply for Honor Society after completing one of the listed required classes.

Please note that the Faculty Council is empathetic to students living during a pandemic. We will work to support students during this time.

Rigrous Computer Science Courses include: Web Design, Software Development and Game Design, Honors Java Programming, AP Computer Science A, and AP Computer Science Principles.

1. Apply to this application no later than February 5, 2021

2. Miss Slade sends a character recommendation sheet out to current BVSW teachers for someone to nominate you.

3. Miss Slade works with our registrar to verify the GPA of any student who has applied.  

4. Eligible students (GPA, Course Requirements, Application, & Character Recommendation) will be reviewed by our CSHS Faculty Council on DATE TBD.

5. DATE TBD applicants will be notified & information about our next meeting, Induction Ceremony, chapter dues, and service groups will be shared.

I understand that I am responsible for completing 10 community service hours if I am selected as a member. At least half of these hours (five hours) shall include service related to computer science. If I fail to complete the required hours I will work with the officers to complete them in a timely manner. If I fail to do so, I will be considered  a member not in good standing and cannot wear the CSHS cords or pin at graduation services. *
