VBS requires a large team of volunteers to be a success. Thank you for your time and efforts.

All volunteers are required to attend Child Safety Training prior to working with children at AUMC. If you have not attended training in the past, you will be contacted in June regarding dates and times.

Which areas do you wish to volunteer in? *

Shepherd Group Leader: Shepherds, TWO per class, are preferred to be available all five days. Shepherds’ primary responsibilities are to serve as the primary contact for parents, to build a sense of community among the children in the class, welcome the children to classrooms/activities and to shepherd the children from one activity/classroom to another. Classes are often assisted by youth volunteers as well.

Center Assistant: Volunteers are needed to help with Crafts, Science, Recreation/Games, Snack Times, and Music.

Pre-VBS Assistance:Volunteers are needed to assist in organization and preparation for VBS. May include craft preparation, assistance with classroom organization and decorations. Perfect for working parents who may not be able to assist during the week of VBS.

Available to help where needed

Post-VBS Assistance: Volunteers are needed to assist with “striking the set” following VBS. Duties include taking down, putting away, and organizing VBS equipment and supplies including craft materials and decorations. Please plan to volunteer Friday, June 22, from noon - 2 p.m. (lunch provided).

Free childcare is provided for your child(ren), too young to attend Church Day Camp, only on the days that you volunteer. Please complete a Childcare Registration Form at https://forms.gle/ZRMvxxwgrFCDa2cM7 if you have children in need of childcare while you volunteer.
