MORE ABOUT THIS EVENT: In addition to the added costs of the holidays, the end of the calendar year marks important deadlines for many government cost-savings programs. Come learn how to plan for the upcoming celebrations and the gift-giving ahead. At this Zoom event, we will do a short overview of critical cost-saving programs which have deadlines or early enrollment periods at the end of the year including:
  • The Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters "ANCHOR" program for property tax assistance.
  • The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) 
  • Federal Student Aid Debt Relief Application (note - application currently on hold)
  • We will also have a hands-on opportunity to prepare a holiday budget! 

Please also note, another great event to attend after this event will take place on Dec 7th at two locations in Newark (Ironbound Community Corporation and La Casa de Don Pedro) where you can get in person, individualized assistance from certified counselors on any of the topics covered over Zoom!
