Girls Rock MKE Name Change Community Survey

Girls Rock MKE recently announced a a name change process so that our organization's name better reflects our values of inclusion and ensure that everyone in our community feels welcome and represented. Our goal is that the new name will honor our mission of empowering individuals of ALL marginalized identities and diverse experiences through music education and performance.

In spirit with our collectivist community values, we are seeking YOUR input to ensure that our new name best reflects and serves our community. Your responses will provide critical guidance to our rebrand process and how YOU see our organization.

This is an anonymous survey. You may choose to keep your responses confidential to the Girls Rock MKE name change committee and participants, or choose to allow us to share your anonymous feedback.

Girls Rock MKE's goal is to change the organization's name to be more inclusive to all people of marginalized genders. What are some words or phrases you think could be inclusive in that way? To help you better answer this question, people of marginalized genders include cis women, transfeminine people, transmasculine people, non-binary folks, and other gender non-conforming individuals.
