CF Nogo/Ptbo Community Needs & Wants
This project is by and for the community.

In the interest of this principle, we want to better understand the needs and wants of people who access the fridge. We want to keep the fridge/pantry stocked with food that is relevant to all people, including culturally and ethnically relevant foods, medical diet-compliant foods, and so on.

Tell us what food items you can best use, which pantry items make the most sense, etc.

About CF Nogo/Ptbo
Community Fridge Nogojiwanong/Peterborough aims to facilitate open, free, and 24/7 access to non-perishable and fresh food, PPE, and personal care items. A community fridge is just like a Little Free Library but for food. The motto is, β€œtake what you need, give what you can, no questions asked.” We do not police who can access food, including how much they take and how often.

CF Nogo/Ptbo is not a charity or non-profit organization, but a community-based mutual aid project. The idea behind mutual aid is that people deserve to have their needs met in a dignified, low-barrier way, and we can accomplish that by working cooperatively within our communities. There is abundance all around us. A community fridge is a vessel for this. This project thrives on the contribution and generosity of the communities we are part of, including people like you!

The fridge and pantry are cleaned and sanitized daily by a designated volunteer. We know that fridges are emptied and re-stocked multiple times every day.
What food/pantry items do you want/need? If you feel it is important, please share why those specific items are helpful. *
