Shift Descriptions
All shifts are on Saturday, July 23.
Early Setup (11am-1pm, 8 Volunteers) - Tasks include: finish marking up field, distributing place cards for vendors, help food vendors find their spots, help set up welcome tent and supplies, start setting up canopies, distributing chairs and tables to vendors.
Event Setup (1pm-3 pm, 16-20 Volunteers) - Tasks include: directing vendors to appropriate unloading spots, guiding vendors to their spots, helping vendors unload, placing signage on fairgrounds road, set up canopies, distribute chairs and tables, help set up beer garden and pride store.
Pride Patrol (Three 2 hour shifts, 6-8 Volunteers per shift) - Tasks include: be visible to answer questions, provide information and directions, bring any potential problems to the attention of the board, empty trash receptacles, staff the information booth, be available for other tasks. Final Pride Patrol will help crowd find exits. Note - Pride Patrols can help defuse situations if necessary but should not intervene in a violent situation, instead calling 911.
Teardown (9pm-11pm, 8 Volunteers) - Tasks include: helping crowd find exits, helping vendors load out, breaking down tables and chairs and returning to central location, breaking down canopies, helping load supplies into van, picking up leftover litter.
