Boot Camp is a two-day intensive, delivered on Zoom on Sat 11th and Sun 12th of May, for authors and illustrators – both traditionally and independently published – who are preparing to launch a new book for children or young people. This form accepts applications for a fully funded place to attend Boot Camp.

WHO CAN APPLY?

• You must be a SCBWI member

• You must be resident in the United Kingdom

• You must be the author or illustrator (traditionally or self published):

of a book coming out in the next 18 months
Or have recently had a book published
Or who have just signed up to a book deal

• If you are self publishing, you must be in the advanced stages of self publishing a book including having a set

• You must be in financial need

• You identify as BAME, LGBTQIA+, disabled or working class
