This application is open to girls/women identifying individuals between the ages of 14-19 from Northern New Mexico. The year-long program
runs from January 10 to December 30 every year. Apprentices receive a stipend of $1000 in monthly payments throughout the year. It is designed to provide apprentices with an opportunity to be part of a real world sci-art team and traveling installation to develop valuable STEAM skills for the 21st century workplace. Apprentices receive training in diverse areas at the intersection of art, science and technology. At the end of the year individuals can be placed in paid internship or STEMarts opportunities based on completion and skill level. Apprentices receive training to become STEMarts Ambassadors as part of the international traveling installation called Space Messengers.
The program is designed around school and work schedules and will primarily be delivered through Zoom and other virtual platforms and six in-person Bootcamps, 2 field trips and participation in 2-3 festivals or events in the year. Travel stipends and meals will be provided for physical meetings.

Program requirements:
1. Strong internet at home for video calls and online work.
2. Access to transportation to attend in person events throughout the year (parent travel stipends provided as needed).
3. Have time in their schedules to commit to this program (4- 6 virtual hours a month) plus time working on events and festivals, and flexibility to attend out of town festivals and events.
