ALL 8 Youth Photography Workshop
Welcome to ALL8: Widening the Lens
Our Spring season has come to a close, but Registration is rolling for Fall 2024! (exact dates TBD)

This 10-week workshop is designed for youth ages 14-17. The workshop will resume in Fall 2024 and meets every Monday from 6:00pm-7:30pm (Eastern), with an optional mid-week support session on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00pm (Eastern). In the 10th week of the workshop, participants will take part in an online exhibition event with artist talk and group work will be featured in an exhibition film!
We'll explore how the lens can capture the presence or absence of values like justice, equity, transformation, pluralism, interdependence and generosity. Participants will grow their visual voices and learn to step into their creative power as storytellers - telling their stories their way.

*Either a phone camera or digital camera are required for this workshop. No formal photography experience is necessary. Registration is free and any rising 8th-12th grader from anywhere is welcome!

During the course of the 10-week ALL 8 workshop, a Discord server will be open should any participants who use the Discord platform choose to communicate, share their work and trade generative feedback with others in the workshop. The Discord server link will be given by invitation only to those registered in the workshop. Participants will be instructed NOT to share this link with anyone outside of the workshop, and activity on the server will be monitored to help ensure that it remains a positive, respectful and welcoming space for connection. This server will be a covenantal space. We recognize that there is no way to have full control over every piece of communication that may transpire. We take pride, however, in imparting our UU values, modeling accountability, and developing the tools that will allow our participants to make those connections responsibly.
