Neighborhood Priorities
We have reviewed feedback from past outreach activities and the following priorities rose to the top:

Transportation : Slowing traffic, fixing sidewalks, bike lanes or other bike infrastructure, repairing streets, and lighting.

Youth: Places for neighborhood kids and teens to hang out, programming or activities for kids, and working with schools in the neighborhood.

Sustainability: Recycling, tree planting, and other environmentally friendly activities.

Commercial: Fill commercial vacancies, improve appearance of businesses, and support neighborhood businesses.

Housing: Housing repairs, housing affordability, and creating a greater mix of housing options.

Equity: Equitable program development and investment, and addressing systemic racism at the neighborhood level.

Neighborhood Association
As we update the neighborhood association we need to set goals and vision for the group. We propose the following:

1. Being a voice and advocate for neighbors and neighborhood issues
2. Linking to the City to support Kalamazoo-wide planning efforts, particularly as they may pertain to or impact our neighborhood
3. Creating and fostering a better sense of community across the neighborhood
