2022 Griller Agreement, Rules & Regulations

Event Time: 5:30 AM – 7:00 PM
The purpose of this agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions whereby the Griller is authorized by Cooking for Kids to grill BBQ pork butt for the purpose of judging, promoting and/or selling represented products under the following terms and conditions.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Griller Requirement – All grillers MUST use pork butt meat only for judging and all meat will be inspected prior to grilling start time. ABSOLUTELY NO professional grillers will be allowed!
Other meats will be allowed for grilling, however, only pork butts will be allowed for judging. Must provide enough pork butt meat for at least 25 samples.
NO alcohol will be allowed on the court park at any time!
COST – $25 if paid before June 25th and $35 if paid after June 25th – NO EXCEPTIONS! Please make all checks/cashiers checks payable to Mary Jean Creager. Payments and completed entry forms can be mailed to or dropped off at

This price includes entry into the competition, standard electrical provision and tables.
PREMISES/GRILL LOCATION/ELECTRICAL NEEDS
• Griller’s general area must be left in the same condition as arrival; this includes picking up trash at and around grilling location.
• Grilling location will be in block specified; exact location decision is made at the discretion of the event director and will depend on specific electrical needs.
• Griller must supply own grill, gas/charcoal, meat, spices, sauces, extension cords, chairs, etc.
• Griller agrees to operate all electrical equipment, including but not limited to lights and attachments, including all wiring in a safe, intelligent manner.
• Cooking for Kids cannot be held responsible for accidents caused by Griller not accurately utilizing this system
• Griller agrees to use only designated receptacles in their pre-approved location.
SET-UP AND DEPARTURE –
• Griller will set up between 5:00 AM and 5:30 AM pm on Monday, July 4, 2022
• Griller will be prepared to have their sealed grill meats inspected by 5:30 AM
• Griller will agree to breakdown after 6:00 PM on Monday, July 4, 2022
• Griller will agree to maintain their grilling area and leave it in the same condition as arrival; no trash, charcoal, etc. left on court park
• Grillers must be off the premises by 8:00 PM on Monday, July 4, 2022
TERMINATION RIGHTS – Cooking for Kids reserves the right to terminate the operation of the Griller at any time during the event for any of the following reasons:
* A professional manner is not maintained by the Griller and its representatives.
* Griller and its representatives behave in a manner that could be construed as racist.
* Griller and its representatives commit any act detrimental to the purpose of the event.
* Griller and its representatives violate any provision of the Health, Fire or Police Departments.
* Griller and its representatives fail to cooperate with event management staff.
* If Griller and its representatives breach any of the agreements listed herein.
Per City Fire Marshal - all grillers MUST have a fire extinguisher on hand.
Cooking for Kids reserves the right to remove any griller not abiding to program rules or failure to follow the instructions of official representatives of Cooking for Kids.
