DO YOU MIND...
...That the healthcare system isn't designed to meet the mental health needs of queer, trans, and Two-Spirit youth?

Do You Mind? equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to the mental health challenges facing our communities. Participants can expect to make new friends while gaining a range of personal and practical skills in the areas of mental health and community-based health promotion. Participants will learn from and build connections with community leaders and organizations.

The program will run in a 𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁, with the majority of the program delivered between September 12th and 19th. We will have an in person meeting from 10-6 on September 12th, two online presentations throughout the week, and a second in person meeting from 10-6 on September 19th.

But there’s more! Following the completion of Do You Mind?, participants will work together, supported by the Youth Project, to develop and launch their very own community mental health project to address local needs.

𝗪𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗤&𝗔 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗮𝘁 𝟲𝗽𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄.

This 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 program is open to 2SLGBTQIA+ youth (18 to 25) all across Nova Scotia, however please note that both in person days will be taking place in Halifax, and you will need transportation to the city.
