22-23 GSA Leadership Council Application
✨About The GSA Leadership Council✨

The Colorado GSA (Gender and Sexualities Alliance clubs) Network, a project of One Colorado, was launched to empower LGBTQIA2+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, Two-Spirit, +) and allied students by providing them the tools and resources to combat bullying and make their schools safer. The Network also connects students across the state and facilitates leadership development through regional and statewide engagement by building a statewide network of GSAs. This year, we are expanding the GSA Support Network by collaborating with other Queer Youth Organizations, like Inside Out Youth Services to better reach GSA’s in Colorado. The members of the GSA Leadership Council will serve as regional representatives to provide feedback and support for GSA’s across the state and One Colorado’s programming, as well as get access to GSA-related & Queer Youth resources, opportunities, events & training!

The Gender & Sexualities Alliance (GSA) Leadership Council is made up of middle school, high school and college students from across Colorado intended to facilitate the growth and development of council members as advocates for LGBTQIA2+, Gender-Expansive, QTBIPOC and Queer youth.

All council members will receive compensation for their participation and meet on a bi-weekly basis!

✨Application Process & More Info✨

The term for participating in the council will run the entire academic year (starting in August and ending in May). For this cohort, that will mean August 2022 until May 2023.

The application asks for a little information about you, has a short answer section, and asks for short essays on why you would like to participate in the Council. Feel free to tab through the application as you prepare, but be aware, you cannot change your answers once they have been submitted; be sure to answer all the appropriate questions and check your work before clicking submit!
