2023 Parent Social GREAT ESCAPE Additional Information & Registration

Here are all of the details that wouldn't fit on the flyer!

Timing:  

  • 6:00 PM - Lockhart's Basement Room available for the group, allowing plenty of time to eat, should you choose.  
  • 6:30 PM - Briefing and handing out materials.
  • 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM - Session 1 at Breakout.  [Actual end-time will vary based on how good you are!]
  •  8:45 PM - 10:00 PM - Session 2 at Breakout.  [Actual end-time will vary based on how good you are!]
  • 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM - Afterglow/prizegiving at Royal Oak Brewery.
  • 11:00 PM onwards - That's up to you!

Earn House Points By: 

  • Being Awesome At Escaping: based on your escape time and probably many other factors, all of which will be figured out and then shared in the week before the event.
  • Playing Guess Who? - In the spirit of getting to know fellow Keller parents better, every participant who submits a Fun Fact about themselves will receive a Guess Who? card revealing a mystery participant’s Fun Fact(s), but not their name.  Simply find your mystery parent, put their name on your Guess Who? card and turn it in for additional House Points.  It's like a not-so-secret-Santa, but without any gifts or any Santas.  REMEMBER - if you don't submit your own Fun Fact, you will not get a Guess Who? card, and will miss out on an opportunity for some high-value House Points!  The team which turns in the most correct Guess Who? cards will probably get a prize, an honorable mention, or something like that…
  • Fun Facts Quiz - Social-only teams will receive a Fun Facts Quiz featuring multiple mystery participants.

Registration

  • Online: simply click "Next" below to start the electronic registration.
  • Paper: fill out the Registration Form on the back of the paper flyer that came home with your kids (if your dog ate it, you can go here https://www.helenkellerpta.net/parent-social-event for a printable pdf), alternatively, there will be blank copies in the PTA basket in the main lobby.  Please return your completed form in an envelope marked “PTA Parent Social” to the PTA basket in the main lobby.
  • REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25th!
Payment
  • Online: there are links to the relevant Givebacks payment page during the registration process.  If you have already registered and only need to pay, please click on the following links:

  • Cash or check: please put checks/cash in an envelope marked “PTA Parent Social” and drop in the PTA basket located in the main lobby.  Please include your name and your team name on the envelope if the paper registration form is not with your check/cash!
  • Please note that payment DOES NOT register you for this event – registration will still need to be completed! Food and drink is not covered by this registration fee. The fee does include a discount from Breakout, and some crappy prizes. We are also working to secure discounts from Lockhart’s and R.O.B.
Pre-Event Information & Questions

We will reach out to registered teams during the week of the event with all of the details (including, hopefully, House assignments, so you can dress in your colors!). Please feel free to drop us a note at the Parent Social email below with any questions, or with late Fun Facts etc.  

Fun Facts can be added later, if necessary; the registration/payment is the most important thing for now so we can begin escape room scheduling and House "sorting"! 

 If being in Session 2 (8:45 PM) at Breakout could prevent you from participating at all, please email us ASAP, and we should be able to put you in Session 1 if we know early enough.
