Dear Parents/Guardians,

The first day of school for students is August 13th. All students will begin school through a virtual platform for the first 4 weeks of school. Our goal is to return to on-campus instruction as quickly as the situation allows. In preparation, S-TISD is offering two student learning options from which parents can choose. The two options are 1) students attend school daily on-campus with safety protocols and social distancing in place to the best possible degree (to be phased in after the first 4 weeks of school) OR 2) students complete all instruction online from home.

S-TISD is asking parents to commit to one of the two options. This commitment will help school officials develop plans for the coming year. You will need to complete a form for each child separately. Please answer each question below.

Daily, Face-to-Face In-School Instruction. Students will be on campus for the entire day with teachers providing instruction. Safety protocols and social distancing will be in place to the best possible degree aligned with governor/state orders and guidelines.

Virtual, At-Home Learning. All instruction and work will be completed each day at home with direction and support from teachers. Daily attendance will be recorded based on student engagement/contact with the teacher(s) and assignment completion. Students must keep up with daily assignments/schedule and communicate with teacher(s) every day.
