IMTE Summer Mini-Conference 2022
Illinois Math Teacher Educators (IMTE) aims to build connections and community among various IL professionals working in math teacher education.  We are focused on increasing the pool of effective teacher candidates, mentoring 1st- and 2nd- year teachers, and continuous improvement for teacher preparation practices at this time.  Jan Fitzsimmons of the Center for Success has a proven track record of success in these areas, and we are delighted to have her join us!  

The cost to attend the Mini-Conference is $20 for members and $30 for non-members.   It covers lunch, snacks, and hand-outs.  The non-member fee also includes a one-year membership to IMTE.  Please bring cash or a check to the conference for payment. Checks should be made out to IMTE.

Break-Out Session Topics and location in the schedule will be finalized closer to August 2nd based on survey data and total number of registrations.  Looking at the topics below, please CHOOSE 2 that you would be most interested in attending.  
One of the break-out session topics is sharing research.  If you are interested in “sharing” your work, please say a bit more about your topic.  (Note: The planning committee will be reaching out to interested parties at a later date.)
IMTE Membership Information
You do not need to be an active member of IMTE to attend this Mini-Conference.   The attendance fee for non-members includes dues for one year.  IMTE membership is $10 a year or $25 for 3 years.   To complete a member registration form, go to https: mste.illinois.edu/imte/IMTE_Application.php.   If you are not sure if you are an active member, you can e-mail Barbara O’Donnell (IMTE Treasurer) at bodonne@siue.edu.
