Decision Point 3: The Jesus Question
When a teen misses a session of High School Faith Formation (Confirmation), the Concord Carlisle Catholic Collaborative expects that teen to view the video(s) missed and complete this simple online form.

The videos for this session are found Dynamic Catholic's website, or you may download the app (for free), which has all the videos.

Session 3 is titled "The Jesus Question". Watching all the videos will take a little more than 30 minutes, and answering the questions may take 15 minutes. Keep in mind that the quality of your response will help Tony and his Faith Formation Leaders determine if you actually viewed the videos (which we think are quite good)!

Overview - Confirmation Preparation
Confirmation IS NOT a type of graduation. While an important point in your journey of faith, it is not an end, and may be for some, the beginning.

Decision Point is meant to inform you about life and faith, to inform your journey of faith, in particular your preparation to receive God's grace in the sacrament of Confirmation.
3.1 Looking for Judas and 3.2 Who is Jesus
How did these videos change the way you see Jesus?
*
How did Jesus change the world?
*
The Jesus question is "Who do you say that I am?" (Mark 8:29) If Jesus came to your house to visit today and asked you this question, what would your answer be?

3.2 The Problem and the Solution
In many ways the world is an incredible place, but in lots of other ways it is a mess. In what ways is the world a mess?
How did the world get to be such a mess?
What is sin? How does it affect you?
3.3 Jesus Was A Radical
Who do you know who take the teachings of Jesus seriously, allowing those lessons to direct the way they live their lives?
How do the teachings of Jesus challenge you to radically change your life?
What is agape love? How is it different from the way movies, music, and the media portray love?
Be sure to read and consider the Poem "One Solitary Life" (workbook page 82) and share one thought that really struck you, and why.
3.4 Second Chances
Grace is the help God gives us to respond to his call and to do what is good and right. In what part of your life do you need God's grace most today?
How do you imagine you would be different if you went to reconciliation once a month?
We all need to be forgiven by God and others, and we all have people we need to forgive. In the Our Father we pray, "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us." Who is God calling you to forgive today?
3.5 Decision Point
Closing Prayer
In the participant workbook, there is a version of Psalm 23 on page 74. Read this slowly and prayerfully, and then use your own words to respond to God.
