Performance Classes are built into the schedule for our students to have extra performing practice. They are included in the Suzuki tuition and highly recommended, but are optional.

Families should always sign up ahead of time.

In general, students should plan to perform one piece at a time. Class will not run with fewer than five students signed up by the preceding Friday at 12 PM.

Performance class is for all instruments, all ages. Beginners are welcome to attend as audience members until they are ready to try out their first bows on stage.

All students should discuss repertoire choices with their teachers, to ensure that selections are memorized, well-learned and polished to close-to performance standards. Within two to three weeks of a recital, students should perform only their recital pieces.

Performance classes often fill up. Please only sign up for one performance class in the four weeks before a performing event so that there is space for everyone.

Piano/Guitar/Cello students should bring their own stool/foot stool/cushions, or coordinate with their teachers.

Etiquette
Please arrive on time and stay for the entire class. No food in class.

Please stay in your seat and listen quietly while someone is performing, and only enter and exit the room during applause.
