Hello, and thank you for your interest in helping with the 2024 Laurel Mountain Science Fair!
Judges: We are excited to bring the LME Science Fair in-person again this year. As part of that, we appreciate your interest in helping to judge, ask thought provoking questions, and provide constructive feedback to all of our young scientists. Please fill out the registration form below if you would like to participate. It is important to note that you can NOT be directly related to the kiddos being judged!
As an overview of the projects and process:
- All elementary grades are eligible to participate in the science fair (K-5)
- Grades K-2 projects are not judged to determine "winners", but rather are each awarded a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd rank ribbons based on the quality of their work. These students will not present their work in person and judging will be done based on the project boards and a grading rubric that will be provided
- Grades 3-5 will present their projects to judges to determine 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place projects in each grade (total of 9 awards) based on a grading rubric that will be provided. Awarded 3-5th grade projects can go on to complete in the Austin Regional Science Fair
