This short, anonymous survey is being used to gather information about agricultural best management practices (BMPs) from producers in Vermont and New Hampshire in the Connecticut River Watershed. Our cohort is seeking to better understand what factors influence which BMPs are implemented by farmers and which BMPs aimed at reducing Nitrogen runoff are most economically and agronomically viable for farmers. This survey is intended for anyone who makes decisions about operations on a farm in the watershed. This information will be used to highlight all of the good work farmers are already doing in reducing Nitrogen runoff and to provide opportunities for further practice implementation through increased resources and technical assistance. This information will not be used for regulatory purposes. The information you provide in this survey will stay with the Windham County conservation district (a non-regulatory entity) and will only be shared in aggregate form that cannot be traced back to individual farms. If you elect to have us contact you towards the end of the survey, we will use your contact information for only that purpose and will not associate your information with your survey responses. We are able to provide a $50 gift card for your time taking this survey. There are directions at the end of the survey on how sign up for this when you submit your survey.
