Smart University Survey
Dear undergraduate students, graduates, PhD and exchange students!

This questionnaire was prepared by Kate-Riin Kont, a researcher at the Internal Security Institute of the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences. The questionnaire is anonymous, and the answers received are used in a generalized form for research purposes.
The purpose of this short survey is to get an initial understanding of what is important to you as a student and therefore the primary "user" of the campus. The focus of this study is precisely the university's "smart" solutions.
Some explanations: as we all know what is smart card or smart mobility then smart auditorium or smart courses/lecturers needs a little explanation.
Universities have auditoriums, sometimes very large to accommodate many students. They hold numerous lectures and conferences there. There are smart systems to intelligently manage and control autonomously each auditorium of the campus (e.g a solution which offers a smart way to control electrical and electronic devices to save energy in auditoriums and other buildings in campus. If fewer people enter the auditorium, no need to turn on all the devices. If a maximum of people enters the auditorium, then automatically all devices will be turned on. With sensors several environmental data such as air temperature and humidity, CO2 level, light intensity, window closing, and images with camera are controlled, operation of air extractors and ventilation and valves remotely controlled on radiators. AI-Thinker are used to film the auditorium following different angles. The punctual analyze of images to detect the presence of persons in the auditorium and verify that it is empty before turning off lights, reducing temperature and stopping ventilation. The detection of non-authorized people in an area or opened windows and doors to prevent intruders, the automation of students attendance.
The modern educational environment requires revision of approaches and methods used by educational management for the concept of new-generation scholars and lecturers for universities. New-generation faculty members should be masters in creation of training courses for the latest e-learning platforms on the base of key components of smart pedagogy.
Please find the time (about 15-20 minutes) and fill out the questionnaire.
