Declaration of active citizen

Preamble

In times of uncertain global situations, fast changing societies and governments it is firmly necessary to proclaim that active participation is the key for better future.

This statement declares roles, rights and duties of citizens in the aim of an active participation for a healthy, functional and equal society.

As an active community member, I consent to fulfill these roles:

My role as a citizen is to vote responsibly, to be involved in local communities and to respect the law

My role as family member is to provide emotional and financial support and to be a good parent

My role as a student is to acquire and share knowledge, and to participate in student councils

My role as a volunteer is to help the ones in need, to involve people in good actions and causes, to raise awareness

My role as a worker is to be professional, to share my skills, to engage and respect work environment and to contribute to the society

As a citizen:

I have the right to vote, be voted, to involve in decision making process

I have the right to have opportunities to contribute

I have the right to gather and protest

I have the right to live in a healthy environment

I have the right to leisure and rest

I have a right to have a job

I have a right to have freedom of speech

I have a right to access public services

I have the right to access the sure information

I have the right to be myself

I have the right to equality before law

I commit to vote in every election

I commit to use my voice to make a difference

I commit to be active in my community

I commit to listen and try to understand others

I commit to be tolerant toward others

I commit to keep my environment clean

I commit to help a person in need

I commit to be part of a volunteering activity

I commit to involve more people from my community

I commit to promote local brands

I commit to always respect human rights.
