This form should be used to submit proposals for one contribution type only. If you would like to propose multiple contribution types (e.g., an unconference and a hackathon), you are welcome to submit this form multiple times.

We are seeking content submissions for three types of sessions:

Unconferences:
Facilitated discussions of ideas for how to make ecology, evolutionary biology, and related disciplines more open, reliable, and transparent. Facilitation involves moderating the conversation with ideas and examples, but there are no formal presentations.
Hackathons:
Group projects with well-defined goals (papers, techniques, software, protocols, organizations, etc.).
Workshops:
Teach tips and tools for producing open, reliable, and transparent science.
Content submission due date: 1 June 2023
Diversity

We strongly encourage proposals of all contribution types from people at a wide range of career stages, including students and early career postdocs, and from underrepresented groups.

We welcome proposals from individuals but also small teams, and we encourage teams to include diverse perspectives (e.g., with facilitators from different countries and balanced in terms of gender and career stage). Questions about accessibility in the submission process or the events themselves should be sent to  conf.sortee@gmail.com. Feel free to contact us if you would like guidance as you prepare your proposals and submissions.

Open submissions

We encourage you to make your submission open.

This allows other people to see what has already been submitted (before they themselves submit something) and offers possibilities to collaborate on a common session or to repeat similar contents over different time zones (which is highly valuable!).

Once processed, you can view submissions made open here:
