This program is open only to Novice rowers from the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 season, with priority seating for those Spring 2020 Novice rowers who did not participate in the Fall 2019, and who have never been out on the water. It will give these athletes the opportunity to learn to row in a single scull or in a double.
We are offering a 5-day (Monday - Friday), 2-hour / day program, and we will offer this for 2 consecutive weeks: Monday 08/24 - Friday 08/28, and Monday 08/31 - Friday 09/04. There will be two different time-slots in each week to choose from.
Current Health Regulations allow rowers to use a double, wearing face-masks. If you do NOT feel comfortable with that, there is an option in the registration form for you to opt-out.
You may choose to sign up for both weeks, however, we will optimize to make sure that as many kids as possible get a chance to participate. So you may not get to participate in a second week if sessions are full.
As part of the registration you will be asked to identify your preferences in week and time-slot. Then based on those answers we will try to accommodate all the scheduling requests to the best of our ability. Again, priority seating will be given to the new Spring 2020 novices that have never been on the water before.
To ensure that everyone has a chance to participate, even for timely registrations we may need to reduce the number of weeks requested, and we may not be able to accommodate requests for particular time slots. Please provide as many options as possible. If you have particular scheduling needs or requests, indicate them in the notes and comments section.
We hope that everybody will be flexible as we are trying to make this work for everyone.
Week 1: Monday 08/24/20 - Friday 08/28/20
Week 2: Monday 08/31/20 - Friday 09/04/20
The cost of the summer conditioning programs is $ 175 / week.
We will be providing rules addressing social distancing, sanitizing equipment, and other state and USRowing-mandated safety guidelines that all rowers must follow in order to participate.
We expect all participants to follow all health and safety guidelines outside of the boathouse / practice as well to minimize the risk for fellow crew-members.
