East High School Advanced Math Placement Test Registration 2022-2023
On our East High School incoming 9th grade class selection form, you indicated that you had an interest in taking our Advanced Algebra 2 Honors advanced math placement exam (traditionally a junior level course). Our East High School Algebra 2 Honors+ Advanced Math Assessment is a requirement even if you've already taken a math test at your middle school and/or have a recommendation from your current math teacher. You are only eligible to test if you have already taken a full year of Algebra (or Integrated 1) AND Geometry (or Integrated 2). If you self selected to take Algebra 1, Algebra 1 Honors or Geometry Honors at East you do NOT need to register for or take this assessment.

Due to DPS middle school dismissal times, we have adjusted our offered assessment times. Our advanced math assessment will be offered on May 10th or May 11th from 4:45-6:30. Please arrive no later than 4:40 in the foyer for our 4:45 start time. We will escort students down to our Panek Gym for testing. If you cannot make it on one of these dates an alternative testing date option is included below. Extended time is built into students' testing time and no study guides will be provided. Comprehensive Algebra 1 and Geometry concepts will be covered on the assessment.

Our final advanced math placement exam will be offered on Thursday, August 11th after 9th Grade Academy from 1:00-2:45 pm in room 120. This allows students an hour after 9th Grade Academy to eat lunch.
