We are putting together a group to keep Girton clear of litter and need your help.  To do this we ask would you like to adopt a street near you as a litter picker?   This task can be carried out at any time to suit you and in addition we will be organising some village wide Litter picks to allow us to clean up Girton for special events like the Platinum Jubilee and the Annual Village Feast.

In addition there may be the opportunity for our village to join in with some National Events.

Girton Parish Council is working to to identify the interest in this activity in the village.  

Once we understand how many people are interested we can then provide Public Liability insurance cover for litter pickers within the Group, a Health and Safety checklist and assess the cost of providing Litter picking equipment.
