Birding for All: An Accessible, Inclusive Birding Outing at the Distant Hill Nature Trail

Sept 24 (Sat) 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Join naturalists Steven Lamonde, Brett Amy Thelen, and Michael Nerrie for a morning of birding along the Distant Hill Nature Trail, a wheelchair-accessible hard-packed gravel trail that winds through a rich hardwood-hemlock forest. The fall bird migration will be in full swing, so we'll look and listen for migrating warblers, sparrows, flycatchers, and other woodland wonders. Birding for All outings are designed with inclusivity in mind, for people who experience accessibility challenges as a result of a disability or other health concern. Beginning birders and all ages welcome! Bring binoculars, or borrow a pair of ours. 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Distant Hill Nature Trail in Alstead. For more detailed accessibility information about this site, see the Distant Hill listing on the Birdability Map.
