Retirement from orienteering
This form applies to orienteers who are members of SOA but are not on the UK Anti-Doping National Registered Testing Pool or Domestic Testing Pool who wish to retire from competing. Orienteers who have retired from competing are exempt from drug testing.
There are two parts to the form: one for people who are also members of British Orienteering and the second for those who are club and SOA members only.
The form needs to be completed by the person who is retiring.

Retirement may be invoked for periods when a person is unable to compete, normally arising from injury or health conditions where their medication may contain one or more substances on the prohibited list.

The retirement becomes active from the date of the request – it cannot be backdated.  It ends when the person sends an email stating that they are returning to competing.
