Free ITE EcoProgram: Join us Backpacking in June! June 4-7 OR June 18-21
This is a FREE program, paid for by our partners, the National Park Service- Juan Bautista de Anza Trail. All gear and food (tents, sleeping bag, cooking gear, hiking gear, snacks & meals) are high quality and provided for the program. Open to high school teens around southern AZ, ages 14-19!  You do not have to have any experience backpacking to join this program.

Backpacking allows us to access beautiful locations and helps us connect with nature and one another on a deep level as we are able to leave behind the distractions of our normal lives. Backpacking is a style of camping where we carry everything we need (food, tent, sleeping bag, gear) in specialized backpacks that ITE provides. These types of campouts are incredibly fun, empowering, and challenging! You should be prepared to carry a heavy backpack over uneven terrain for several hours each day as you explore the stunning mountains and canyons around Tucson. If you are someone open to new experiences, new friends, new foods, and a bit of a challenge then this trip is for you!

We have 2 trips in June, but students can only attend 1 trip. You must be available for the Orientation Day as well as the whole Backpacking Trip.

Please fill out this Registration by May 17, 2024. Then, look for a text & email with a follow up invitation to have a virtual meeting with us and fill out forms. Sign up for the virtual meeting to reserve your spot!
