Applications are now open for Fitz's Legacy. Applications will be accepted until August 1, 2021. The recipient will be announced on August 16, Fitz's birthday.
In June of 2020, 16 year old Fitz Thomas tragically drowned in Goose Creek. Fitz, a Loudoun County native, was known throughout the community for his vibrant smile and fun loving demeanor.
Purpose
In honor of Fitz, Legacy Orthodontics will provide orthodontic treatment to one student in need each year, beginning in 2021. This scholarship is set up with the sole purpose of giving back to a student in financial need who could benefit from orthodontic treatment.
Our mission is to pass Fitz’s smile, or legacy, along to others in need. May Fitz’s light shine through those who we help.
In order to qualify for orthodontic treatment, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Be between the ages of 8-16
2. Have financial or other constraints that make it otherwise difficult to obtain orthodontic treatment (an adult will be required to fill out the disclosure outlining their financial need circumstance)
3. Live in Loudoun County

6. Orthodontic treatment is defined as: phase 1, phase 2, or comprehensive braces (*Invisalign is not included).
