Summary: to join the club you must read and agree the following:

The club can store and process your data in line with the club's GDPR policy and UK GDPR law
The England Athletics Code of Conduct
That the club may contact you regarding club events. Note that you may opt out of periodic emails from the club, but we must be able to send you some information for you to be a member - see the opt out below.

UK Data Protection & the UK GDPR Law

As of 25th May 2018 data protection rules in the form of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) were implemented. As of 31st December 2020, the EU GDPR law was incorporated into the UK Data Protection Act in the form of the UK GDPR law.

Didsbury Runners will directly store your personal data in the form of your name, gender, and email address, age, contact details, and medical information. We use this data to provide medical assistance in an emergency, monitor attendance, provide you with statistics, and contact you with important information in the form of direct emails and a newsletter. Didsbury Runners will never pass your personal information on to a third party. To use this information we require your explicit consent.
