MFB Fertility has received a contract award from the US Air Force. The purpose of the award is to educate couples about fertility hormones to help them achieve pregnancy naturally. Research shows that the leading cause of infertility in women relates to ovulatory problems that lead to low progesterone. Therefore, early diagnosis of hormone imbalances could lead to a faster treatment and a higher likelihood of pregnancy.

We are currently recruiting 50 US Air Force couples that are actively trying to conceive a child. If enrolled, you will be provided with a free Proov at home progesterone test kit (www.proovtest.com) and educational materials related to fertility hormones (Estrogen, LH, and progesterone).

Progesterone is the hormone released right after ovulation, and is what prepares the uterus to receive the fertilized egg. Without sufficient and sustained levels, there is no chance at conception. Proov works by measuring a metabolite of progesterone called pregnanediol glucuronide (PDG) in first morning urine to allow for daily progesterone monitoring after ovulation. As part of this program, the woman will be required to test with the provided Proov tests for 5 days within her cycle (1 day prior to ovulation and 4 days after ovulation).
