This User Requirement Survey has been formulated by the Remote Sensing Working group (RSWG) of the Svalbard Integrated Arctic Observing System (SIOS). This survey aims to collect information on Earth Observation and Remote Sensing based data, geospatial products, information, and training requirements by the diverse Svalbard science community. No specific background knowledge of Earth observation and remote sensing is required to participate in this survey.

Except your email Id and affiliation, no personal information about yourself is asked. Email Id is requested to contact you in case if we need more information regarding your responses. IP address of your computer will not be stored in this survey. SIOS will take all reasonable measures to ensure that personal data (email id and affiliation) remain confidential.

The responses are automatically saved, and you can finish filling the survey over several days before the deadline. SIOS RSWG will collect, store and process data acquired through responses from this survey to generate the User Requirement Document (URD). This document will be published on the SIOS website and/or open access journal manuscript for the Svalbard science community. In addition, cumulative response of this survey may also be used in academic publications, conference presentations, online resources, reports, social media, videos etc. In brief, data collected from this survey will only be used for purely scientific objectives. Please note that all responses of this survey will be anonymized before processing survey results.
