The Marshal L. Salant Student Investment team manages a $400,000 long-only equity portfolio as part of the university's endowment. Members develop their critical thinking and oral presentation skills by creating and critiquing stock pitches for investment. The team aims to outperform the most relevant benchmark, the S&P 500, and has been successful in doing so since inception.

During the Fall semester, we host open meetings every Sunday at 7:00PM in Mudd 26 beginning Sunday, September 17th. Our application will open at the end of Fall to all undergraduate Freshmen and Sophomores. Please be on the lookout for our recruitment events - we will email you pertinent information about our open meetings, annual stock pitch competition, coffee chats, resume workshops and more.

The Salant Team also runs JHU's Investment Banking Workshop to assist students interested in high finance careers (IB, private equity, hedge fund investing, etc.) with associated recruiting processes.

The workshop features live seminars on the finance industry, networking, resume building, interviewing, and technical concepts (accounting, valuation, etc.). There will also be resume reviews, mock interviews, and on-campus recruitment events with select Wall Street firms.
