Aspen View Academy Parent Student Handbook and the
Student Use Technology Policy contain the complete set of rules, regulations, and Student Data Privacy information. The following highlights the major rules and recommendations for your students' school-owned device.
Elementary students are assigned a computer for use during the school year. This computer is not to be taken home at night without approval by the teacher and the Assistant Principal.
Please review the following with your student and then complete the rest of the form.
- I understand that this computer is for school-related work only.
- I will not have food or beverages around my computer.
- I will protect my computer by always carrying it in a secure manner to avoid damage (I will not pick it up and carry it around by the screen).
- I will not leave my computer unattended or on the floor.
- I will not touch another students’ computer and I won't loan my computer to another student.
- If I damage another students’ computer, I am responsible for payment of damages.
- I agree not to impersonate another student or log in to another account.
- I will not disassemble any part of my computer or attempt any repairs.
- I agree to use my computer in ways that are appropriate for education and I will not try to circumvent restrictions and any monitoring.
- I will not remove any stickers or tags placed on the device by Aspen View Academy. I know there is a $5 fee if I remove a sticker that is on the computer.
- I will not decorate (stickers, markers, writing, etc) nor etch anything on the cover.
- I agree to pay the full cost of my computer or power cord if lost or damaged.
- I understand that AVA owns this computer and I have no expectation of privacy.
- I will not take my computer home unless my teacher and Assistant Principal have given approval first.
- I do not have any expectation of privacy on my computer.
