Kids Club is offered to assist in making your workout as productive and convenient as possible for both you and your children. We take children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age. Our professional staff members are more than happy to assist with any queries and suggestions you may have. However, there are certain guidelines that should be brought to your attention. We request that you take the time to read these and follow them to ensure we are able to provide you and your children with the best service possible.

Enrolments and bookings
All children using our Kids Club must have an up to date and completed enrolment form at the time of their first visit. Bookings are essential and must be made. Bookings can be made up to one week in advance.

Bookings
This booking system and relevant staffing ratios are in place to ensure that we do not jeopardise your child’s safety. We endeavour to cater for all of our members, however, there is no guarantee that your preferred time and day will be available. If no children have been booked in on the close of a morning session for the evening,
Kids Club will not open.

Session times
Kids Club can only run smoothly if everyone adheres to our session times.
Monday - Friday: 8:15am - 10am; 9am - 11am; and 9.45am - 11.45am
Saturday: 7:30am - 9:00am; 9.00am - 10:30am; and 10:15am - 11:45am
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Evenings: 4:45pm - 6:45pm; and 5:15pm - 7:15pm

School holiday session times
Monday - Friday 8:00am - 9:30am; 9:15am - 11:00am 10:15am - 11:45am
Saturday -7:30am - 9:00am; 9.00am - 10:30am; and 10:15am - 11:45am

Kids Club costs
Kids Club is provided as a free service to all Jindalee Fitness 24/7 members with Kids Club included membership. All other users will be charged $5 per child, per session.

In the event of an Illness
If your children are not in good health, they will not be admitted into the Kids Club area. We have strict rules applying to this as staff and children are in a confined space.

If your child has any of the following you must not bring them into contact with the facility. Please keep your baby/child at home if he/she is suffering from:
a heavy cold
diarrhoea in the previous 24 hours
vomiting in the previous 24 hours
any infectious disease
a high temperature
major injuries in the previous 24 hours (such as broken bones, stitches etc)

In the case of infectious illnesses such as chicken pox, measles, mumps etc, or for conditions such as head lice and impetigo (school sores) children will not be permitted entry to the Kids Club until such time as the condition is completely cleared and the risk of infection to others is cleared. Should your child contract such an illness or condition, please notify staff so that we may alert other Kids Club users.

Jindalee Fitness 24/7 reserves the right to refuse entry to any children.

Please note: if your school age child is too sick to attend school, they are too sick to come into Kids Club.

Medication
No medication will be administered in our Kids Club. If a child requires medication for an ongoing condition such as asthma, allergies etcetera, please ensure that you manage this personally.

Delivery and collection of children
Parents/Guardians must register each child individually each time they use the service. On arrival, you must sign each child in on the Sign In Register and state your location whilst exercising. This is essential information in the event you are required to care for your child or for an emergency evacuation. The parent/guardian must sign out their child before leaving.

Every parent must remain on the premises and be contactable at all times. Please remember parents/guardians are responsible for the care of the child, if called to the Kids Club, you must return immediately (failure to do so may result in suspension of service).

No parent is to leave Jindalee Fitness 24/7 premises at any time whilst their children are in Kids Club.

Important information

Allergies
Due to the increasing prevalence of allergies, please be aware that Kids Club is strictly a Nut Free Zone & Egg Free Zone. Please ensure that you thoroughly check the ingredients of all pre-packaged foods. Food not allowed include nut bars, whole eggs, scrambled eggs, quiche, frittata and omelette.

Behaviour management policy
Our staff members are not the child’s parents. Our aim is to maintain control in a positive manner. All staff speak in a positive manner to the children. We encourage children through positive role modeling and clear guidelines should a child need any behavioural management.
The traffic light system will be implemented for school aged children.
This system follows a 3 warning policy. After the third warning, the parent is called to collect their child immediately. Children being physically violent or verbally abusive to staff or other children will not be tolerated in Kids Club and the parent will be called to collect their child immediately. A one week exclusion may be enforced.

Emergency care procedure
One staff member immediately attends to the child to console and comfort and if necessary, administer first aid.
Another staff member will be elected to collect the parent/guardian and/or medical assistance and will bring that person back to Kids Club. The Kids Club supervisor must ensure that the incident/injury report is completed.

Note: If any of the Kids Club staff notice a cut or a bruise on a child when signing in, it will be brought to the attention of the parent/guardian. This ensures that it has been identified and no responsibility will be placed on the staff. If a child starts regularly rubbing an eye, other area or seems slightly upset or uncomfortable, the parent/guardian will be contacted.

What to bring
Food for children is permitted. Remember that Kids Club is a Nut Free & Egg Free Zone. Please make sure that all containers and bottles are labeled clearly with the child’s full name. Please advise if your child has any food
allergies please provide a current action plan and ensure this is kept up to date.
Make sure all bags and belongings are clearly labelled with your child’s full name
Babies or children in nappies must be changed by the parent/guardian if needed prior to the session. Nappies, wipes, a change of clothes and other comfort items may be required for this.

Toilet training policy
If your child is toilet training, please tell the staff so your child can be reminded regularly. When your child is in a distracting environment like Kids Club, the chance of a toileting accident is more likely.
Please make sure that your child wears a pull-up nappy until fully toilet trained. If they have been dry wearing a pull-up for 2 weeks, the child is welcome to wear underwear at Kids Club.
We change nappies for babies and children up to the age of 3 years old. After that age a parent/guardian will be contacted to change the nappy. If a child soils their underwear, the parent/guardian will be contacted to change them.
