Purple Shabbat, November 1 - 2, 2019

Purple Shabbat brings Domestic Violence Awareness to our synagogues. We offer speakers, sermon materials, and ways you can integrate messaging to your congregants from wearing the color purple, to using purple table-cloths at an oneg or kiddush, to allowing JCADA’s materials to be visible to those who are attending. $5,000 donations (or greater!) will be 50% matched by a generous donor!

$3,600 allows JCADA to provide 10 hours of prevention education to students in our community.

$2,500 sponsors our facility support dog, Tahoe, for one year.

$1,000 provides 10 hours of counseling to a victim of power-based violence.

$500 allows JCADA to help a survivor to get a protective order against their abuser.

$100 can provide a burner phone to a victim in danger.

$50 provides transportation to court for a survivor.
