Kingwood Park Student Athletic Trainer Application
Dear Prospective Student Athletic Trainer,

We are pleased you are interested in the KPHS Student Athletic Training Program. Our current students in the program work with over 950 athletes throughout a school year. They collaborate season to season with out 17 different athletic programs offered here at KPHS.

Athletic Training is a wonderful way to meet and get to know other students, athletes, coaches, administrators, physicians, and other health care providers. Being a part of the Student Athletic Training Program is a great way to gain valuable medical experience for those interested in entering the medical field. The students in this program are given the chance to diversify his or her resume through the opportunities provided.

As a part of the healthcare team, Student Athletic Trainers are expected to work many hours after school for coverage of athletic practices and events (on campus and traveling with teams to other schools). This allows the students to learn hands on skills and create bonds with the coaches and athletes. Dedicated students have been able to travel with teams to playoff games (College Station, Downtown Houston, etc.) and  state games (Austin or Dallas).

If you are interested in becoming a Student Athletic Trainer, please complete and submit this application below. If you would prefer a hard copy, stop by the Athletic Training Room (1911).

We look forward to having you as a part of our program!

Sincerely,
Daniel Scalia
