Thank you for your interest in having the Phoenix Center present to your class! Workshops typically run 75 minutes and are discussion based. We can modify a presentation to fit your class needs and timeframe. If you require a shorter or longer presentation, or a tailored curriculum, please add these details in the "Additional Information" section at the end of the form.

Once you have submitted your request, a member of the Violence Prevention Education team will contact you to confirm the workshop. Please note that your workshop request is not finalized until a member of our team has confirmed it with you. We ask that, whenever possible, you request a workshop 10-14 days before your requested date.

Overview of Services - An overview of the services we provide to students, faculty, and staff. Please note that all other presentations also include a brief PCA overview (15-30 mins)

* Interpersonal Violence (IPV) 101 - Provides a basic look at all aspects of IPV including relationship violence, sexual assault and stalking. (75 mins)

* Interpersonal Violence (IPV) 301 - Advanced examination of concepts regarding intimate partner abuse, bystander intervention, identity and their intersections. (2 hrs)

* Bystander Intervention - Provides an overview of how identity and unconscious biases influence someone's decision around intervention. Provides the "5 Ds of Intervention" as a guideline for how folks can intervene in harassment and violence. (75 mins)

Healthy Relationships - Reviews healthy relationship theories and provides an overview of the difference between an unhealthy and abusive relationship. Interactive discussions and activities throughout the workshop to help participants integrate what they have learn to their own relationships. (75 mins)

Supporting Survivors - This skill building session breaks down some survivor myths and dives into how to respond when someone discloses to you (75 mins)

* Media Literacy - Provides an overview of IPV and a critical analysis of how media can provide messages contributing to a culture of violence and discrimination. (75 mins)

* Intro to Comprehensive Sexuality Education: Violence Prevention and Leveling the Playing Field - An introductory view into how sexuality is often informally taught in a way that shames, formally taught inaccurately, and identifies topics for further education around sexuality.
