I was beat up as a child. For no real reason. Many times over many years. From people I trusted to keep me safe. As a result, I did not feel safe in the world.
Would I have changed it? Absolutely. 100%. I wish it never happened. But, It did. And, I did something with it. It was the catalyst for my growth.
It made me who I am today. It also showed me how to see things differently; to take a bigger picture view of what’s happening. A knowingness that there is a reason even if I can’t see it in the moment.
It also led me to discovering the purpose of my coaching work; which is to help people see things differently too. The world of work is unpredictable and there may be things happening to you that you don’t understand.
