We live in a world filled with technology. The CMS Math Department believes that technology is invaluable when teaching students mathematic concepts and aids in developing their ability to efficiently solve problems. A graphing calculator is used extensively in CMS mathematics classrooms across the district. It is recommended that all students enrolled in a Geometry/Algebra I class at the middle school level have a graphing calculator for their personal use. Students MUST bring their calculator to class with them every day. Calculators will be utilized to complete class assignments and homework at the discretion of the classroom teacher.

It is CISD's expectation that all learners comply with the student code of conduct and guidelines. Failure to do so may result in the loss of privilege to take the calculator home. The calculator is property of Coppell Independent School District.
